Questions "To GO"

Questions “To GO”:

Questions open up dialogue. Posing three questions for some dialogue:

1. Are more Christians today like Jesus or like the Pharisees? *

2. Are more Christians today like the disciples of Christ were with the woman at the well? (She ran from them!)

3. How can we be more like Jesus was with the woman at the well and more like the transformed close disciples of Christ after the resurrection and Pentecost to live out Acts 1:8 in The Holy Spirit’s power? How can we take off/rid the “Pharisee-ism” so rampant in Christianity today?

In this New Year of 2018, our commission is still “GO”…

Matthew 28:19-20 (HCSB)

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Acts 1:8 (HCSB)

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

How we are to go is important. Have we received the Power of the Holy Spirit to be His witnesses in our own land and in the north and south of us or where ever the LORD leads us? If we have why are we seen as so Pharisee-like?

In a devotional I read today, this first posed question above was reported as being researched by Barna Research Group in April of 2013. The results of that study “uncovered that 51 percent of the people used for this study mirrored behaviors and attitudes more like the self-righteous and arrogant Pharisaical ways. Only 14 percent of the “self-identified Christians” (only 1 out of 7) seemed to represent the actions and attitudes consistent with those of Jesus.” Page44 of *Salvaging My Identity (A 40 Day Experience for Girls and Young Women) by Rachel Lovingood and Jennifer Mills. I believe The LORD directed me to write The Elephant Gospel for such a time as this to awaken His Church to the Need to return to the TRUE GOSPEL and LIVE OUT REVELATION 12:11 making our boast on CHRIST ALONE: the WORTHY LAMB who was slain for our sins atonement! We overcome by His Blood alone. (We must not live like foolish Galatians: depending on our own works as they are surely filthy rags to our LORD!) We are to live true to Revelation 12:11 in all three parts: Overcoming by CHRIST’s Blood, our testimony and being willing to give our all for Him and for His message to GO forth! In Jesus Name, Amen.

We are called to GO forth with HIS HOLY SPIRIT’s POWER AND PASSION! But are we known for His power and passion?

Perhaps we may need to wait on the LORD to bring forth His Power as He did on the first disciples? O LORD Please BREATHE YOUR SPIRIT UPON THE DRY BONES OF YOUR CHURCH, so HELP US LORD!
